Day 0: Arrival in St. George

You fly into Harry Reid International Airport and arrange for your own shuttle to St. George, Utah via the St. George shuttle (approx $35-). The tour starts from the meeting hotel in Springdale, Utah on Day 1 and your confirmation document will confirm the hotel name and location (not included in tour cost) Alternately riders can also fly into the smaller St George Municipal Airpot ( SGU) and then shuttle to Springdale Utah via the St George Shuttle.

Day 1: Zion National Park to Mount Carmel

Spend the first day exploring the wonders of Zion National Park. At only 25-miles, today is meant to serve as a warm up day for the rest of the tour. Lodging is outside the park’s eastern boundary in Mt. Carmel, Utah.
Distance: 25 Miles with up to 2,700 feet of climbing

Day 2: Mount Carmel to Bryce Canyon National Park

Starting from Mt. Carmel, Utah, climb nearly 4,500-feet through the beautiful redrock canyons between Zion National Park and Bryce National Park (8,000-feet).
Distance: 53 Miles with up to 4,000 feet of climbing

Day 3: “Utah’s Fabulous Highway 12” – Bryce Canyon National Park to Boulder Mountain Lodge, Boulder

If there was ever a road built for cycling, Utah’s Highway 12 may be it. The road climbs, dives, twists and turns to the end. This is a ride you’ll never forget. We end our ride at Boulder Mountain Lodge, our home for the next two nights.
Distance: 77 Miles with up to 4,800 feet of climbing

Day 4: Layover day at Boulder Mountain Lodge.

The ride today is a 35 mile out and back to the intimate confines of Long Canyon with it’s 400-foot tall canyon walls of wingate sandstone towering above you. Even though this route is relatively short, be prepared for nearly 3,300 feet of climbing.
Distance: 35 Miles with up to 3330 feet of climbing

Day 5: Boulder Mountain Lodge to Hanksville

Enjoy even more of Highway 12 as it winds up and over the challenging slopes of Boulder Mountain (9,000-feet) with lunch in Capitol Reef National Park and ending the day in Hanksville, Utah.
Distance: 84 Miles with up to 5300 feet of climbing

Day 6: Hanksville to Blanding,

Ride past Lake Powell surrounded by Redrock Wilderness. The Queen stage of the Z2T offers big miles, big climbs and big scenery. We roll out under the cover of darkness into the quiet of the desert. This is a remarkable route that ends with a climb into the Sierra Abajo Mountains to end the day in Blanding, Utah.
Distance: 126 Miles with up to 9100 feet of climbing

Day 7: Blanding to McElmo Canyon.

Cross the border into Colorado riding empty ranching roads though Canyons of the Ancient National Monument, beneath the Sleeping Ute mountain and into beautiful McElmo Canyon for lunch at the Sutcliffe vineyard. Post lunch ride another 5 miles to the Kelly Place for lodging and a home cooked meal.
Distance: 64 Miles with up to 2600 feet of climbing

Day 8: McElmo Canyon to Telluride

On our final day of our tour, ride through Cortez and Delores.Then enjoy a final descent to Telluride to end the tour.
Distance: 60 Miles with up to 4,400 feet of climbing

Conditions

Deposit $950.-pp
The deposit payment for a tour must be paid within two weeks after the booking is confirmed.
The remaining payment is due 90 days before the start of the tour.
For tours that are booked within 90 days before the start of the tour you will pay 100% of the tour price

Information

Meals:
We provides most meals on all tours (unless otherwise noted) including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Guides will prepare a daily lunch en route for nearly every tour, both road and off-road, as well as provide nutritious snacks at periodic aid stations during the day.

Most of our road tours utilize local restaurants for all meals and occasionally guides may prepare a dinner or two during a tour. Due to the nature of being “off the grid”, most of our off-road tours feature guide prepared meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. FUN NOTE: When guides prepare a meal in camp and the guests sit around and watch, this is called “Guide TV”.

Lunches: Our guides prepares healthy lunches to keep you going. We will serve you fresh organic fruits and veggies, salads, hummus, sandwich fixings, nuts, gourmet cheeses and, of course, plenty of salty/sweet snacks such as chips and cookies.

Dinners: On our road tours,We sources our favorite restaurants in each town that we visit. Our guides focus on establishments that offer fresh and local ingredients and guests choose whatever they desire to eat off the menu including: appetizer, salad, entrée, and of course, dessert… yum! Also, while on tour if a guest wants to dine early before the group and go to bed, this is fine. We understand that on some days sleep is the most important post-ride element
