Tennessee has three scenic regions. Because of the height differences there is a rich variety in flora and fauna.
There is a map available of roads with the best cycle routes. The state is trying to link this initiative with increasing bicycle safety and quality of these roads. Communication to the motorized traffic about it is under development.
Tennessee has three scenic regions: East Tennessee is dominated by the Blue Ridge Mountains (part of the Appalachians) and is separated from Middle Tennessee through the Cumberland Plateau. Middle Tennessee has rolling hills. West Tennessee is located in the lowlands of the Mississippi. Because of the height differences there is a rich variety in flora and fauna.
A transitional southern climate. Hot and humid summers, although less warm and humid in the mountainous areas. Not very cold winters.
