Itinerary

Day 1: This tour starts in the historic and quaint Stony Brook Village.

Upon arrival there will be welcome refreshments, introductions, orientation and bike fittings. You will relax, refresh and take in and explore the historic Stony Brook village by foot or bike. Possibly tour the Reboli Gallery or the Stony Brook Grist Mill, which is in the backyard of the Inn. Dinner is on your own nightly in the village.

Day 2: Revolutionary Road.

Enjoy cycling on secluded shaded roads while you pass by the houses and taverns that housed the Washington spy network of the American Revolution. Each loop takes you to a beach, a harbor, horse farms, historic sites and fashionable places to eat. The roads are hilly, but the hills are short and most climbs are rewarded by spectacular views. Loops vary from 15-30 miles leaving from the Inn and we will route you on as many as you are up for. When you finish, there is a winery a half a mile from the Inn and several taverns within walking distance from the Inn. Or you are welcome to just lounge and enjoy to views of the Inn and drink a beer with your hosts. Guided historical tours are also available.
Distance: 15-90 miles, with options to end at the Inn every 15 miles

Day 3: The South Fork and the famous villages of The Hamptons.

An early morning shuttle to the village Riverhead takes you to the gateway of Long Island’s Legendary South Fork. Peddle past the Big Duck and then over to the Shinnecock canal to the Historic town of Southampton. Head out to Sagaponack Beach (rated as one of the top 10 beaches in the US), and since you are on a bike, you don’t have to worry about paying for Parking!! Then our route takes you across the fork on roller coaster hilled secluded roads and to the historic whaling town of Sag Harbor, with a stop in Bridgehampton if you like, on the way. After lunch, head back on the north side of the fork past the world famous Shinnecock golf course and then back to Riverhead where pubs and dining spots abound. If you are up for a few additional miles we can route you into the town of East Hampton where you can try to spot celebs. If you have a century in you, we can send you all the way out to Montauk.

Day 4: The North Fork, Long Island’s wine country

Shuttle to head out of Riverhead and ride along the scenic Peconic bay. Then the ride steers you to the North Fork wine trail. Enjoy one of the US’s premier wine producing districts. Stop for lunch along the water and then head back along Sound road where you will find beaches, farms and more wineries. This ride can be done as a beautiful scenic ride, a physical challenge or a wine tasters delight. We will pick you up at the beach in Wading River.

Day 5:

After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we will transfer you back to the LIRR for your journey back to the airport.

Lodging

A beautiful B&B with owners who are keen cyclist themselves. They know and understand what a cyclist wants and needs .
They are here to show you the vistas and venues of Long Island’s North Shore by bicycle. They are located about an hour and a half from New York City. You can enjoy the beaches, wineries, museums, nature reserves, shops and restaurants that are all right here in the Three Village area or venture out for an all day tour to the North Fork or the Hamptons. Whatever your pleasure, all are within easy access by bicycle from the B&B.

Pricing / Tour dates

Tour price 2023 :$1750.-pp. Single fee on request.
E-bike rent possible for an extra fee.
Tour date: The tour can start on any day from 1 March till 31 October.

Conditions

Deposit 25%
The deposit payment for a tour must be paid within two weeks after the booking is confirmed.
The remaining payment is due 90 days before the start of the tour.
For tours that are booked within 90 days before the start of the tour you will pay 100% of the tour price
